The Scarlet Opus team are privileged to have been invited to tonight’s JS Bach/Zaha Hadid Architects performance by the world-famous classical musician Alina Ibragimova at Manchester Art Gallery.

Bach’s sublime solo works will be performed in the unique environment specifically created by Zaha Hadid Architects.  They have visually and acoustically transformed one of the Manchester Art Gallery exhibition spaces to create an extraordinary and intimate chamber music hall, exclusively for Manchester International Festival.

The aim is to create a near-perfect visual and sonic environment for the audience to experience some of the world’s most beautiful chamber music. A union of two true originals, three centuries apart.

We are fascinated to see how the relationship between the music and surreal swirling space adds to the audience’s experience.  And with no black & white dress code it will also be interesting to see how the bold monochrome design is affected by the multicolored clothing of the audience members
